                                    AN ACT
 1   Amending the act of November 10, 1999 (P.L.491, No.45), entitled
 2      "An act establishing a uniform construction code; imposing
 3      powers and duties on municipalities and the Department of
 4      Labor and Industry; providing for enforcement; imposing
 5      penalties; and making repeals," in training and certification
 6      of inspectors, providing for residential building inspectors.
 7      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 8   hereby enacts as follows:
 9      Section 1.    The act of November 10, 1999 (P.L.491, No.45),
10   known as the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act, is amended by
11   adding a section to read:
12   Section 704.    Residential building inspectors.
13      In addition to any other requirements from the department, a
14   residential building inspector shall also complete five hours of
15   continuing education in recognizing faulty construction
16   practices, including proper installation of stucco, the laws and
17   legal liability of builders in faulty construction practices and
18   the remedies available under Federal or State law for homeowners
1   in addressing faulty construction practices.
2      Section 2.   This act shall take effect in 60 days.
