Privacy
What pac.dog stores about you, in full:
- Your email address when you sign in. We use it only to send the magic link and to recognize you on subsequent sign-ins.
- A session cookie (
pacdog_session) set when you sign in. Valid 30 days; cleared on sign-out. - A consent cookie (
pacdog_consent) when you dismiss the cookie notice. Stored locally; never read by the server beyond "is this set". - The watchlists, items, reactions, and follows you create. Public watchlists are visible to everyone; private ones are visible only to you.
- A legal-profile block (name, address, employer, occupation, citizenship) when and only when you start the contribution flow. Required by FEC reporting rules. Stored in Neon Postgres, never shared except to the recipient committee at contribution time and to the FEC in mandatory filings.
What pac.dog does not do:
- Sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties.
- Track you across the web. No third-party analytics. No ad pixels.
Third parties pac.dog talks to about you:
- SendGrid— transactional email provider, sees your email address when we send the magic-link.
- Neon— the Postgres host that stores everything above.
- Vercel— serves the site. Standard server logs (IP, user-agent, request line) per Vercel's log retention; nothing additional written by pac.dog.
- Stripe, Persona, Plaid— not yet in scope; will be invoked only during the contribution flow when it ships, and only with your explicit consent at that point.
You can delete your account, watchlists, and legal profile from /me at any time. Deletion is immediate.
