                                     AN ACT
 1   Designating a bridge, identified as Bridge Key 56130, carrying
 2      Pennsylvania Route 562 over Manatawny Creek in Amity
 3      Township, Berks County, as the PFC Travis C. Zimmerman
 4      Memorial Bridge.
 5      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 6   hereby enacts as follows:
 7   Section 1.     PFC Travis C. Zimmerman Memorial Bridge.
 8      (a)     Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares as
 9   follows:
10            (1)   Travis Clyde Zimmerman was born October 26, 1986.
11            (2)   PFC Zimmerman was the son of Lloyd C. Zimmerman,
12      Jr., and Gail (Clemens) Camperson.
13            (3)   He attended Boyertown Area High School graduating in
14      2005.
15            (4)   PFC Zimmerman enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing,
16      swimming, golf, frisbee, wrestling and tennis.
17            (5)   He enlisted in the United States Army and was
18      stationed at Fort Campbell with Bravo Company of the 101st
19      Airborne, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, known as
 1      the Screaming Eagles.
 2            (6)   PFC Zimmerman was further stationed at Camp Striker
 3      in South Baghdad, Iraq.
 4            (7)   Travis Clyde Zimmerman was killed in action on April
 5      22, 2006, in Iraq while serving his country.
 6            (8)   He was posthumously promoted to Private First Class
 7      and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
 8      (b)   Designation.--The bridge, identified as Bridge Key
 9   56130, carrying Pennsylvania Route 562 over Manatawny Creek in
10   Amity Township, Berks County, is designated as the PFC Travis C.
11   Zimmerman Memorial Bridge.
12      (c)   Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
13   maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to
14   traffic in both directions on the bridge.
15   Section 2.     Effective date.
16      This act shall take effect in 60 days.
