AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2 act relating to the public school system, including certain
3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5 laws relating thereto," in career and technical education,
6 further providing for Cosmetology Training through Career and
7 Technical Center Pilot Program and for Barber Training
8 through Career and Technical Center Pilot Program.
9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
10 hereby enacts as follows:
11 Section 1. Sections 1857(a), (d) introductory paragraph and
12 (e) and 1858(a), (d) introductory paragraph and (e) of the act
13 of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School
14 Code of 1949, are amended to read:
15 Section 1857. Cosmetology Training through Career and
16 Technical Center [Pilot] Program.--(a) The Cosmetology Training
17 Through Career And Technical Center [Pilot] Program is
18 established in the State Board of Cosmetology.

20 (d) No later than [June 30, 2023] May 31, 2026, and each
21 year thereafter [through June 30, 2025], each CTC and secondary
1 school participating in the [pilot] program shall report the
2 following information to the State Board of Cosmetology on a
3 form prescribed by the board:

5 [(e) The pilot program under this section shall expire three
6 years from the effective date of this section.]

8 Section 1858. Barber Training through Career and Technical
9 Center [Pilot] Program.--(a) The Barber Training Through Career
10 and Technical Center [Pilot] Program is established in the State
11 Board of Barber Examiners.

13 (d) No later than [June 30, 2023] May 31, 2026, and each
14 year thereafter [through June 30, 2025], each CTC and secondary
15 school participating in the [pilot] program shall report the
16 following information to the State Board of Barber Examiners on
17 a form prescribed by the board:

22 Section 2. This act shall take effect June 30, 2025, or
23 immediately, whichever occurs later.
