                                    AN ACT
 1   Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
 2      Statutes, in licensing of drivers, further providing for
 3      Medical Advisory Board.
 4      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 5   hereby enacts as follows:
 6      Section 1.    Section 1517(a) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
 7   Consolidated Statutes is amended and the section is amended by
 8   adding a subsection to read:
 9   § 1517.   Medical Advisory Board.
10      (a)    Membership.--There shall be a Medical Advisory Board
11   consisting of [13] members appointed by the secretary. The board
12   shall be composed of an authorized representative from the
13   Department of Transportation, Department of Justice, Governor's
14   Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Department of Health,
15   Pennsylvania State Police and professionals as follows: One
16   neurologist, one doctor of cardiovascular disease, one doctor of
17   internal medicine, one general practitioner, one
18   ophthalmologist, one psychiatrist, one orthopedic surgeon [and],
 1   one optometrist and one certified driving rehabilitation
 2   specialist.
 3      * * *
 4      (c)   Definition.--As used in this section, the term
 5   "certified driving rehabilitation specialist" means an
 6   individual who plans, develops, coordinates and implements
 7   driver rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities
 8   and is certified by a national organization that assesses
 9   knowledge and skills in the services.
10      Section 2.   This act shall take effect in 60 days.
