                                    AN ACT
 1   Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
 2      Statutes, in licensing of drivers, providing for application
 3      for REAL ID.
 4      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 5   hereby enacts as follows:
 6      Section 1.    Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
 7   Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
 8   § 1506.1.   Application for REAL ID.
 9      (a)   Verification of Social Security number.--The department
10   shall accept a Social Security card, W-2 form, SSA 1099 form, a
11   non-SSA 1099 form or a pay stub that fulfills the requirements
12   of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-113, 119 Stat. 302)
13   for the purpose of reviewing an application for a REAL ID and
14   verifying the applicant's Social Security number.
15      (b)   Definitions.--As used in this section, the term "REAL
16   ID" means a photo identification card or driver's license issued
17   by the department under this chapter or Chapter 16 (relating to
18   commercial drivers) that complies with the REAL ID Act of 2005.
1     Section 2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
