AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, in powers of department and local authorities,
3 further providing for specific powers of department and local
4 authorities.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 6109 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
8 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
9 § 6109. Specific powers of department and local authorities.

11 (k) Indemnification of elected officials not required.--The
12 department may not deny a permit for a procession, special
13 activity or assemblage on a State-designated highway under
14 subsection (j) if the sponsor meets the requirements of
15 subsection (j) but does not indemnify elected officials
16 participating in the procession, special activity or assemblage.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.Connected on the graph
