                                      AN ACT
 1   Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
 2      Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in facilities and
 3      supplies, further providing for surcharge.
 4      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 5   hereby enacts as follows:
 6      Section 1.      Section 3733.1(a) introductory paragraph and (b)
 7   of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are
 8   amended to read:
 9   § 3733.1.    Surcharge.
10      (a)    Imposition of surcharge.--In addition to each fee
11   imposed under section 3733(a.1) (relating to deposits into
12   account), [except as set forth in subsection (b),] the following
13   apply:

15      [(b)     Exceptions.--Subsection (a) does not apply to a
16   conviction or guilty plea based on the filing of a traffic
17   citation charging an offense under 75 Pa.C.S. (relating to
1   vehicles) which is classified as summary under a State statute
2   or local ordinance as provided in the Pennsylvania Rules of
3   Criminal Procedure.]

5      Section 2.   This act shall take effect in 60 days.
