                               A RESOLUTION
 1   Recognizing the month of August 2025 as "National Wellness
 2      Month" in Pennsylvania.
 3      WHEREAS, The health and well-being of the residents of
 4   Pennsylvania are vital to the prosperity and quality of life in
 5   this Commonwealth; and
 6      WHEREAS, Wellness is an active process of awareness and
 7   consistent choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life,
 8   encompassing physical, mental and spiritual health; and
 9      WHEREAS, Nurturing the mind, body and spirit contributes to
10   overall well-being and can prevent the onset of chronic diseases
11   and other health conditions; and
12      WHEREAS, Healthy eating plays a crucial role in maintaining
13   optimal health, providing essential nutrients that support
14   bodily functions and reduce the risk of disease; and
15      WHEREAS, Engaging in regular physical activity, practicing
16   mindfulness, fostering social connections and adhering to a
 1   balanced diet are integral components of a holistic approach to
 2   wellness; and
 3      WHEREAS, "National Wellness Month" is observed annually in
 4   August to promote and encourage healthy habits that can lead to
 5   a more balanced and fulfilling life; and
 6      WHEREAS, Recognizing the month of August 2025 as "National
 7   Wellness Month" in Pennsylvania raises awareness about the
 8   importance of comprehensive wellness practices and encourages
 9   residents to take proactive steps toward improving their health;
10   therefore be it
11      RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
12   month of August 2025 as "National Wellness Month" in
13   Pennsylvania; and be it further
14      RESOLVED, That residents of this Commonwealth be encouraged
15   to focus on nurturing their mind, body and spirit through
16   activities, including healthy eating, regular physical exercise,
17   stress management and engaging in community and social
18   activities; and be it further
19      RESOLVED, That employers, health care providers, educators
20   and community organizations be urged to promote resources and
21   programs that support comprehensive wellness initiatives
22   throughout the month of August and beyond.
