                                 A RESOLUTION
 1   Designating May 4, 2026, as "Aerospace Day" in Pennsylvania.
 2      WHEREAS, Pennsylvania is emerging as a national leader in
 3   aerospace innovation; and
 4      WHEREAS, This Commonwealth's highly skilled workforce and
 5   proximity to key Federal agencies and defense hubs uniquely
 6   position Pennsylvania to drive advancements in aerospace; and
 7      WHEREAS, Additionally, Pennsylvania's world-class education
 8   system is one of our greatest assets in supporting the aerospace
 9   sector with research universities and technical training
10   institutions providing exceptional human capital that drives
11   aerospace innovation here in this Commonwealth; and
12      WHEREAS, By attracting high-wage aerospace and advanced
13   manufacturing jobs, revitalizing our industrial regions and
14   investing in a resilient, future-ready workforce, Pennsylvania
15   can secure long-term economic growth and reinforce our State's
16   position as a national hub for innovation; and
17      WHEREAS, Leveraging the Commonwealth's assets can strengthen
 1   our role in the national aerospace sector and fuel economic
 2   growth here in Pennsylvania; and
 3      WHEREAS, Celebrating "Aerospace Day" in this Commonwealth
 4   provides a valuable opportunity for both residents and lawmakers
 5   to better understand the industry and its impact on our
 6   Commonwealth; and
 7      WHEREAS, Throughout the day, there will be exhibitions of the
 8   Commonwealth's aerospace industry in Harrisburg, as well as a
 9   public hearing to further educate members of the General
10   Assembly and Pennsylvanians on the opportunity to support and
11   bolster this growing industry; and
12      WHEREAS, It is crucial that we raise awareness of the
13   aerospace industry so that we do not miss the opportunity within
14   our reach; therefore be it
15      RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate May 4,
16   2026, as "Aerospace Day" in Pennsylvania.
