                                     AN ACT
 1   Amending the act of December 19, 1988 (P.L.1262, No.156),
 2      entitled "An act providing for the licensing of eligible
 3      organizations to conduct games of chance, for the licensing
 4      of persons to distribute games of chance, for the
 5      registration of manufacturers of games of chance, and for
 6      suspensions and revocations of licenses and permits;
 7      requiring records; providing for local referendum by
 8      electorate; and prescribing penalties," in games of chance,
 9      providing for payment; and abrogating a regulation.
10      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
11   hereby enacts as follows:
12      Section 1.    The act of December 19, 1988 (P.L.1262, No.156),
13   known as the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act, is amended
14   by adding a section to read:
15   Section 301.2.    Payment.
16      (a)   Methods.--A licensed eligible organization:
17            (1)   Must accept cash as a payment method for the playing
18      of games of chance.
19            (2)   May accept a debit card as a payment method for the
20      playing of games of chance.
21      (b)   Policies.--A licensed eligible organization may
1   establish its own policies concerning acceptance of checks,
2   money orders and debit cards. A licensed eligible organization
3   shall not be required to accept a check, money order or debit
4   card.
5      Section 2.   The provisions of 61 Pa. Code § 901.506 are
6   abrogated insofar as they are inconsistent with the addition of
7   section 301.2 of the act.
8      Section 3.   This act shall take effect in 60 days.
