                                    AN ACT
 1   Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
 2      act relating to the public school system, including certain
 3      provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
 4      schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
 5      laws relating thereto," in duties and powers of boards of
 6      school directors, providing for posting of offers of
 7      employment for certain administrators; and, in intermediate
 8      units, providing for posting of offers of employment for
 9      certain staff.
10      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
11   hereby enacts as follows:
12      Section 1.    The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known
13   as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding sections
14   to read:
15      Section 529.    Posting of Offers of Employment for Certain
16   Administrators.--A board of school directors that extends an
17   offer of employment to a person for the position of district
18   superintendent, assistant district superintendent, associate
19   superintendent or principal in the school district shall post
20   the offer on the school district's publicly accessible Internet
21   website. The posting shall include the details of the offer and
22   proposed contract, including salary and the term of the
 1   contract. The posting shall occur after the offer is made to the
 2   person and at least two weeks before the board of school
 3   directors officially approves the contract.
 4      Section 925-A.   Posting of Offers of Employment for Certain
 5   Staff.--A board of intermediate unit directors that extends an
 6   offer of employment to a person for the position of executive
 7   director or assistant executive director shall post the offer on
 8   the intermediate unit's publicly accessible Internet website.
 9   The posting shall include the details of the offer and proposed
10   contract, including salary and the term of the contract. The
11   posting shall occur after the offer is made to the person and at
12   least two weeks before the board officially approves the
13   contract.
14      Section 2.   This act shall take effect in 60 days.
