District Fetch

Turn a street address into its political graph — currently-seated US House rep, both US senators, active candidates, Census ACS demographics, and upcoming state filing deadlines. Single address or bulk CSV.

How your address is handled

Your address never reaches pac.dog's servers. Every address you enter is geocoded directly in your browser against OpenStreetMap Nominatim (public, no vendor account). The resulting latitude/longitude is point-in-polygon-checked against a US Census Bureau Cartographic Boundary file we serve as a static asset. Only the resolved (state, district) tuple — e.g. CA-12 — is sent to /api/v1/tools/district-fetch/decorate to look up officials and graph data.

Source for both the client component and the server endpoint is on GitHub; you can verify exactly what reaches our servers.

pac.dog is a free, independent, non-partisan research tool. Every candidate, committee, bill, vote, member, and nonprofit on this site is mirrored from primary U.S. government sources (FEC, congress.gov, govinfo.gov, IRS) and each state's Secretary of State / election commission — no third-party data vendors, no paywall, no editorial intermediation. Citations to the originating source are on every detail page.

Estimated value: $180/mo per user — but we made it free.
