     REFERRED TO TRANSPORTATION, JUNE 4, 2025


                                     AN ACT
 1   Designating the western roundabout on State Route 1001 at the
 2      intersection of New Britain Road and South Easton Road in
 3      Doylestown Township, Bucks County, as the Blue Star Family
 4      Tribute Roundabout; and designating the eastern roundabout on
 5      State Route 1001 at the intersection of New Britain Road and
 6      Sauerman Road in Doylestown Township, Bucks County, as the
 7      Gold Star Family Tribute Roundabout.
 8      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 9   hereby enacts as follows:
10   Section 1.     Blue Star Family Tribute Roundabout.
11      (a)     Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares as
12   follows:
13            (1)   The Blue Star Family designation honors families
14      with a member currently serving in the United States Armed
15      Forces, symbolizing their sacrifice and commitment to the
16      nation.
17            (2)   Bucks County has a strong tradition of military
18      service, with many residents actively serving in the United
19      States Armed Forces, earning their families the Blue Star
20      designation.
 1            (3)   Designating a roundabout in Doylestown Township as
 2      the Blue Star Family Tribute Roundabout recognizes the
 3      ongoing contributions and sacrifices of these families within
 4      the community.
 5            (4)   This designation serves as a lasting tribute to
 6      inspire community gratitude and support for military
 7      families.
 8      (b)     Designation.--The western roundabout on State Route 1001
 9   at the intersection of New Britain Road and South Easton Road in
10   Doylestown Township, Bucks County, is designated the Blue Star
11   Family Tribute Roundabout.
12      (c)     Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
13   maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the roundabout
14   on the major approaches to the roundabout.
15   Section 2.     Gold Star Family Tribute Roundabout.
16      (a)     Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares as
17   follows:
18            (1)   The Gold Star Family designation recognizes families
19      who have lost a loved one in military service, representing
20      the ultimate sacrifice made for the freedoms enjoyed by all
21      Americans.
22            (2)   Bucks County is home to families who have endured
23      the profound loss of a service member, earning the Gold Star
24      designation.
25            (3)   Designating a roundabout in Doylestown Township as
26      the Gold Star Family Tribute Roundabout honors the memory of
27      fallen service members and the enduring strength of their
28      families.
29            (4)   This designation provides a permanent memorial to
30      foster community reflection on the sacrifices of Gold Star

 2      (b)   Designation.--The eastern roundabout on State Route 1001
 3   at the intersection of New Britain Road and Sauerman Road in
 4   Doylestown Township, Bucks County, is designated the Gold Star
 5   Family Tribute Roundabout.
 6      (c)   Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
 7   maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the roundabout
 8   on the major approaches to the roundabout.
 9   Section 3.   Effective date.
10      This act shall take effect in 60 days.
