Photo by Brian Quinn As New York State Police Troop A Commander Major Amie Feroleto put it Thursday morning, safety is not free. The sacrifice the fallen officers made is a reminder of that, she said at the Troop A Memorial Service, is a reminder of that. "To honor them is to live by the values they embodied - integrity, courage and service," she said. The Troop A members being honored Thursday were more than uniformed personnel, Feroleto said. The State Police Troop A does a wonderful job with the ceremony, Sharon Keane said. Troop A covers a large area, Keane said and she keeps in touch with fallen members' relatives who were part of the Empire State Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), a chapter she was president of for awhile. "It's a non-profit. It's actually a national organization," she said. "During (
