Recycled Materials Attribution Act: Advocating for the full Act. The legislation establishes a national framework for recycling marketing claims and is a foundational first step toward creating modern, national recycling marketing standards. It will also direct the Federal Trade Commission to update its Green Guides to conform with the legislation, ensuring timely consistent application of evidence-based marketing standards nationwide for consumers and businesses. This legislation will help support recycling innovation, reduce plastic waste, and improve recycling in the United States. Recycling and Composting Accountability Act (provisions requiring the Environmental Protection Agency to collect data, prepare reports, and develop best practices for recycling and composting programs). Recycling Infrastructure and Accessibility Act (provisions relating to an Environmental Protection Agency grant program to expand access to residential recycling systems and increase recycling transfer stations). Issues relating to recycling claims and labeling standards; recycling data collection and recycling infrastructure development; molecular recycling; and extended producer responsibility.
