                                      AN ACT
 1   Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
 2      Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous
 3      articles, further providing for definitions.
 4      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 5   hereby enacts as follows:
 6      Section 1.     Section 6102 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
 7   Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a definition to read:
 8   § 6102.    Definitions.
 9      Subject to additional definitions contained in subsequent
10   provisions of this subchapter which are applicable to specific
11   provisions of this subchapter, the following words and phrases,
12   when used in this subchapter shall have, unless the context
13   clearly indicates otherwise, the meanings given to them in this
14   section:

16      "Frame or receiver."     Any of the following:
17             (1)   A part of a firearm which provides housing for
18      components, including the hammer, bolt or breechblock, firing
1     pin, ejector or extractor.
2         (2)   A partially manufactured blank, casting or machined
3     body intended, designed or advertised for the purpose of
4     being turned into a fully operable part of a firearm which
5     provides housing for components, including the hammer, bolt
6     or breechblock, firing pin, ejector or extractor.

8     Section 2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
